Market Verdict

PTA Tax Arbitrage: Official PTA vs. Non-PTA + Duty

Arbitrage Calculation: Compare buying an already PTA-approved Galaxy M12 against buying a Non-PTA unit and paying the Rs 19,948 CNIC duty yourself. Buying an official PTA device eliminates FBR/DIRBS payment processing delays and prevents accidental customs re-assessment.

Frequently asked questions

How much is the PTA tax on Galaxy M12 in Pakistan?

Do filers pay less PTA tax on the Galaxy M12?

Filers pay a lower withholding-tax component than non-filers, saving Rs 1,000 on the Galaxy M12. Customs duty, regulatory duty and sales tax are the same for both.
